Vision & Mission

Our vision is to see a world where every human being’s basic needs are met by sustainably improving the quality of life of underprivileged communities through targeted initiatives. We strive to eradicate poverty and other legacies of injustice by empowering them to provide for themselves and their families. In doing so, we recognise basic human dignity and the human right to live a meaningful life.

Our mission is to improve the livelihoods of the poor by providing for their basic socio- economic needs through: o affordable and sustainable housing; o sewage and clean water; o clean energy; o education in literacy and numeracy; o hygiene and basic health care; o environmental awareness. We maintain this by facilitating self-sufficiency through micro-businesses and micro-loans and developing their socio-economic skills. The communities targeted are characterised by high poverty incidences, where most live in informal housing with no access to clean water and sewage. The other factor that adds to poverty is the lack of education. We want to promote principles of responsibility and self-sustainability and work together with the local community to address poverty and unemployment.
